On December 21, 2024, Grammy award-winning rapper 21 Savage hosted his sixth annual holiday toy drive through his Leading By Example Foundation at The Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center in DeKalb County, Georgia. The event provided over 3,000 toys, clothing items, and meals to more than 1,000 families, spreading holiday cheer throughout the community.
During the event, 21 Savage received significant recognition for his community efforts. Congressman Hank Johnson and DeKalb County Commissioner Mereda Davis Johnson presented him with proclamations and community action awards, officially declaring December 21st as '21 Savage Leading By Example Day' in DeKalb County.
This holiday initiative follows the success of 21 Savage's annual 'Issa Back to School Drive' in August, which introduced the Leading By Example Social Impact Village, sponsored by Amazon Access. The village featured Atlanta-based nonprofit organizations, including the Decatur-DeKalb chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women and Wealthy Habits, focusing on financial literacy and community support.
Through his foundation, established in 2018, 21 Savage has been dedicated to giving back to the community, particularly in providing financial literacy education to the city's youth. His efforts have included offering free financial literacy access to thousands of students nationwide through his Bank Account At Home online education program.
